I need to get the "addr_()" perm to work in both 32bit and 64bit DOORS clients.
32bit client requires: int iAddr = addr_(MySkip) // 'int' is 32bit
64bit client requires: Addr64_ iAddr = addr_(MySkip) // Addr64_() is 64bits, but is not available for early v9 clients, nor for v9 32bit clients.
So I figure to use "Addr64_()", but for 32bit client override 'Addr64_' in an #include file so it behaves as a 32bit 'int'. That would look something like:
struct Addr64_
something that makes the (64 bit) 'Addr64_' behave like (32 bit) 'int'. returning a 32 bit integer.
How would I code that?
